  • Data Centers

There is a trend from the IT crowd nowadays to build data centers everywhere for AI purposes. These data centers need a lot of power to run. The bigger the use of AI that is needed, then the more power required.

The theory of relativity made well known by Albert Einstein states that the faster something moves, the more energy you need to keep increasing its speed. For example, a rocket ship cannot reach the speed of light on traditional fuel due to the fuel itself. The faster the rocket goes, the more fuel it needs to keep it going, which you then need more fuel to compensate for, and so on. You would require an infinite fuel source. So, we cannot reach the speed of light in this example, because to go from zero miles per hour to the speed of light requires an impossible amount of fuel to get you there.

Then how did light itself get to the speed of light? Because it started out at that speed when the universe was created.

For what the IT crowd wants to do with AI, there is not enough power on the planet or the universe to keep it going. Life in comparison can live on almost no power relatively speaking, so in this example, I would compare life to photons and AI to the rocket ship trying to reach the speed we travel at.

  • Welcome welcome welcome

    1. Did you know Alice is a cat? Well, now you do.

    2. Alice likes to chase things up stairs.

    3. Alice was the number one suspect in five separate major felonies (never convicted)
